Welcome to our website

The focus of our research is transition metal catalysis, especially that which involves multiple cooperative metal centers (3MET). In general, we investigate novel strategies for pragmatic cross-coupling and other metal catalyzed reactions. We are also interested in studying the mechanism of such reactions, not only to improve our catalysts, but also to try to understand the rules and intimate properties of the atoms we handle. We are currently developing tailored methods for general (intermolecular) cross-dehydrogenative C-N & C-O bond forming reactions based on Cu & Ru catalysts, with wide applications in organic synthesis. Since 2017, we have started a research program focused on novel oxidizing strategies in the frame of cross dehydrogenative coupling reaction development, in particular under aerobic conditions (ERC Starting Grant Project: "2O2ACTIVATION").
